Introduction
In the following pages I will answer questions raised by singers and their teachers. My intent is to clarify what is known and uncontested about the voice, and to reconcile the different points of view for what is debated about the voice.
I have training and experience in the sciences which have enabled me to model the voice on physical principles. With this model in mind, seemingly opposite points of view about the voice suddenly make equally good sense. If I can convey this information to the reader sufficiently, I will have done my part to end the bafflement conflicting opinions can cause to the student and teacher both.
Beyond this I wish to put my own imprimatur on voice study by fostering a technique that is both simple and modern.
